Why You Need It
The whole purpose of transformation is to bring the reality of the Kingdom of God into our earthly existence, here and now. "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven." There is no graft or corruption in heaven, no rejects or defects, no mistreatment of employees or destruction of the environment. If we are to be effective in delivering the Kingdom of God, it can only be done with excellence in everything we do.
What It Is
Excellence in Process is the intentional examination of every facet of our organization with the intent of rooting out every imperfection, every appearance of sin, and every limiting policy. It involves lifting up every activity to glorify and give honor to God. It is both process and outcome, always open and obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
What You Have to Know
Every policy and procedure and every corporate and individual activity, has the potential to open doors leading either to freedom and perfection or to bondage and destruction. This is not an exaggeration. Our process can never be "good." If they exist to guide our organizations in how we introduce the King of the universe, then they must reflect the very best that God has for us, our shareholders, board, staff, customers, vendors, regulators, etc. Anything less than that gives rise to errors, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and more.
All too often we view the creation of policies as either something we have to do to meet legal or regulatory standards, or busy work that records what we already know in our heads. Excellence in Process affords us ongoing opportunity to hear and respond to the leading of God in stewarding the resources He has entrusted to us. It allows us opportunity to devise proactive strategies for operating a transformational organization.
What You Have to Do
There are three major tasks to undertake with each area of your operations.
1. Prayerfully examine your process in light of Scripture, your Kingdom imperative from your Spirit-Led Strategic and Marketing plans, and the world's standards of law and justice.
2. Recreate every policy so that it aligns with God's specific plans for your organization.
3. Carry out with excellence every plan, comparing it against your standards and re-evaluating it as needed.
